Domiciliary Care

Domiciliary Care is the name given to a range of support services offered to people living in their own homes.

What is Domiciliary Care?

The service could be personal care such as feeding and bathing or home care such as preparation of meals and shopping.

Domiciliary Care offers appropriate support when:

• Returning from hospital or waiting admission to hospital
• Temporary or permanent illness
• Loss of confidence in managing daily tasks
• A fall at home

Where is our Domiciliary Care?

This takes place in people's 'own home'. The term 'own home' includes supported housing or independant living schemes.

How much does it cost?

Domiciliary care is paid for at an hourly rate dependent on the needs and wishes of the person.

Who can apply?

Any body wanting or needing a domiciliary care service can apply for help to maintain their independence.

Applying for Domiciliary Care?

Individuals, their advocate or carer can approach their Local Authority Social Services Department to find out if they are eligible for funding for domiciliary care services.

Individual can apply directly to East Living if funding is not available to them from the local authority and they wish to pay for the service from their own income.

Where are our services offered?

Anyone can apply within our areas of operation. Services are subject to availability of staff within the locality. We provide services within a range of local authority areas throughout east London and Essex
